About the PFCA
In 1990, a group of neighbors had a common goal to improve Paddock Park. Their goal was to install lighting and new playground equipment. Haverford Township agreed to fund half of the cost of the improvements if the neighbors could raise funds for the other half. The Paddock Farms Civic Association (PFCA) was formed as a organization to collect contributions for the park improvements. There was a tremendous response from the households in the neighborhood and the PFCA collected enough donations to reach their goal. Shortly thereafter the lights and new playground equipment were installed. Later that year, as a way to celebrate their achievement and gather as a neighborhood, the PFCA held a 4th of July celebration in Paddock Park. After a few years of inactivity, the PFCA was re-established in 2007 and has since continually held its signature events throughout the year including the Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Celebration, Movie in the Park and Oktoberfest. Other notable community-building activities include the Neighborhood Yard Sale, Winter Holiday Sidewalk Luminaries and Adult Socials. The PFCA Board is comprised of neighborhood volunteers who share organizing duties. Annual dues are collected to fund the main events and defray the cost of other activties.
We are always looking for volunteers! Please contact us if you are interested in helping.
